Bits and Business, Our rights and continued self-pimping

Gov. Amends Anti-Gay Law In Virginia: "At the time, Sen. Richard Saslaw (D-Fairfax County) said the legislation means Virginia is heading in the wrong direction and warned that companies may avoid moving to a state where their employees do not feel welcome.
'We're telling these people who happen to be gay, essentially, 'Stay out of Virginia,'' Saslaw said.
''We want to make it as inhospitable as possible for you all to live in this state.' I don't know how else you can describe this bill. No more, no less. 'Get out.''"

NBC10.com - News - Performers Whip Easter Bunny At Church Play: "A church in western Pennsylvania trying to teach about the crucifixion of Jesus performed an Easter show with actors whipping the Easter bunny and breaking eggs, upsetting several parents and young children."

"Performers broke eggs meant for an Easter egg hunt and also portrayed a drunken man and a self-mutilating woman, said Jennifer Norelli-Burke, another parent who saw the show in Glassport, a community about 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

"It was very disturbing," Norelli-Burke said. "I could not believe what I saw. It wasn't anything I was expecting."
